Introduction to Architectural Drawing and Graphics
In this course we shall learn about Drawing Tools, Architectural Drafting, North and Materials.
Drawing Tools:
Before learning how to draw architectural drawing and graphics it is necessary to get acquainted with the instruments and tools used for drawing.
Architectural Drafting:
The important element of architectural drawing is the line, the mark a pen or pencil leaves as it moves across a receptive surface. Controlling the pen or pencil is the key to producing good line quality and proper line weights.
North:
Every plan should always have a “North” indication in the drawing.By giving this indication we show or we can relate the proper orientation of that building, as because of that we can know all directions and can study its climate, sun path wind direction of the location of building in particular area.
Materials:
In architecture and construction we use various types of materials. Eg: we use bricks, stones, concrete, wood, etc. and in reality we can see and differentiate all these materials.
