Hello,
Welcome to the third ideamooc in the series on Architectural Journalism. In the previous ideamoocs, we learnt about the Basics of Journalism, understood what architectural journalism is and also discussed different techniques of conducting interviews.
Architectural journalism consists of different types of writing like documentation, interviews, design interpretation, photography, and so on. But the most important piece of writing by far is critical appreciation. It is a highly sought-after piece of writing as it allows the reader to peep into the writer’s mind. It is written for people who walk past the building, the politicians and the policy-makers, and all other consumers of architecture.
