The swimming pools can be installed using different materials:
Reinforced Concrete Pools
In-ground Membrane Pools
Above Ground Pools
Fibreglass Pools
Reinforced Concrete Pools:
This type of swimming pools is more common. These are constructed with a raft slab at the bottom and the walls of RCC Pardi. At times when the depth of the swimming tank is more I.e. to be used for the diving purpose the walls designed as retaining walls, so as to sustain the pressure of the water. Waterproofing, either box type or bituminous coating waterproofing is done. The tank is finished from inside with tile or with waterproof paints, mostly tiles are used for finishing.
In-ground Membrane Pools:
These are excavation in-ground and the excavation is lined with waterproof membrane throughout. The walls and the floor are reinforced with concrete. The waterproofing membrane can be of polymer or bituminous materials with proper joints.
Above Ground Pools:
These are pools which are placed above the ground. They are small and mostly single-family use. They are made of aluminium or steel wall placed on a flat surface. These are internally lined plastic or polymer sheets. These come in the size of 10m dia. And 1 m to 1.5m deep. The costing is low and the life of these pools is less. They are mostly suitable for paddling pools for small children with less depth.
Fibreglass Pools:
These pools are tailor-made pools made of fibreglass. They are made to order as per the shape and size and brought to the site and installed in the pit excavated for these pools. There is a limitation in the size and shape as per the transportation facility.
