Specifications
Specification can be defined as a written document, describing in detail the scope of work, materials to be used, and methods of installation, and quality of workmanship for an item of construction under contract, used along with working (contract) drawings in building construction.
Management of Contracts
After the Contract between the Owner and the Contractor is signed, the next stage is starting work. Before that, the Architect issues a work order to the Contractor.
Building Contracts
The Indian Contract Act, 1872 defines the term “Contract”, under its section 2 (h), as “An agreement enforceable by law”.
Tenders
The process of asking for offers from Contractors is called Tendering. The dictionary meaning of the word ‘To Tender’ is ‘To Offer”.
